DragonSea, an global logistics, supply chain management and digital intelligent services provider with depots in London and Edinburgh, has taken delivery of 37 Farizon SV large electric vans as part of its transition towards a more sustainable fleet.
Specialising in the transportation of household possessions for customers relocating from China to the UK, DragonSea required a vehicle capable of handling heavy loads while supporting its growing environmental ambitions. Working closely with the business, Driveway Vehicle Solutions arranged the lease hire agreement for 37 Farizon SV L1H1 83 kWh vans.
The Farizon SV L1H1 83 kWh offers 6.95m³ of load space, a maximum payload of 1,265kg and an ultra-low loading height of just 550mm. Combined with a WLTP combined range of up to 234 miles, the vehicle is well suited to supporting DragonSea's specialist removals operation across the UK.
Alan Cheung, CEO at DragonSea, commented:
"We have been looking at ways we can introduce electric vehicles into our fleet, but our operation presents a demanding use case as we are transporting large and heavy household items for customers relocating from China to the UK for work or education. Through thorough research, we found the Farizon SV to excel in terms of payload, range and load capacity, and we're looking forward to putting these vehicles into service."
Paul Murdoch, Head of Sales at Driveway Vehicle Solutions, said:
"Every fleet has different operational requirements, so it's important that businesses aren't simply choosing an electric van, they're choosing the right one. At Driveway Vehicle Solutions, we work closely with businesses to understand how their vehicles are used day to day, from payload and mileage requirements through to driver needs, operating costs and future fleet ambitions, before recommending the most suitable solution."
Ben Lowe, Business Development Manager at Driveway Vehicle Solutions, said:
"DragonSea presented a particularly interesting challenge. The business needed an electric van capable of carrying large, heavy household goods while offering the range and reliability to support its specialist removals service. After assessing the available options, it became clear that the Farizon SV was the right fit, combining impressive payload capacity, generous load space and the range needed to support the business's daily operations.
"We're delighted to have supported DragonSea with its move to electric and to have delivered a solution that gives the business confidence both now and as it continues its wider fleet transition."
Ben Lowe then added:
"Supporting businesses through the transition to electric vehicles requires more than simply supplying vehicles. It's about understanding operational requirements and identifying the right solution for long-term success. DragonSea needed a vehicle capable of carrying significant payloads while maintaining the range and reliability required for a specialist removals operation. The Farizon SV met those requirements extremely well, and we're delighted to have helped the business make the move to an electric fleet."
Zoe Tonks, Head of Sales at Farizon Auto UK, stated:
"This deal with DragonSea demonstrates another real-world application of the Farizon SV's defining characteristics. With one of the largest load capacities for a van of its size, up to 234 miles of range, and all the very latest driver convenience and comfort functions, the SV is ideal for this customer's needs."
The Farizon SV is available with 67kWh, 83kWh and 106kWh battery options, delivering a WLTP combined range of up to 247 miles depending on model. Standard specification includes premium features such as heated seats, a heated multifunction steering wheel, a 360-degree surround-view camera and a comprehensive suite of driver assistance and safety technologies.
This latest vehicle deployment demonstrates how businesses with specialist operational requirements can successfully transition to electric vehicles when supported by expert fleet advice, flexible funding solutions and the right vehicle selection process.
