Driveway Vehicle Solutions Secure Scutum Fire & Security Fleet & Rental Contract As Business Targets Further Growth
15th Sep 2026
Driveway Vehicle Solutions, Lithia UK’s fleet and leasing arm, has secured international fire, safety and security specialist Scutum Fire & Security, part of the Scutum Group, as a new fleet customer, beginning with an initial order of 57 Nissan Primastar vans.
The 57 vehicles are due to be delivered to Scutum Fire and Security this month, with further vehicle orders expected before the end of the year as the business continues to grow. Scutum currently operates a fleet of more than 320 vehicles and has ambitious growth plans over the next 12 to 18 months.
The new partnership will see Driveway Vehicle Solutions provide both fleet management and rental services, giving Scutum a complete mobility solution to support its engineers and wider operations. Alongside the management of its core fleet, access to Driveway Vehicle Solutions’ rental offering will give Scutum additional flexibility when replacement or additional vehicles are required, helping to keep engineers mobile and minimise operational disruption.
The contract follows a sustained business development and relationship-building process, with Driveway Vehicle Solutions working closely with Scutum to understand its fleet requirements before successfully transitioning the business away from its incumbent fleet provider.
Ben Lowe, Business Development Manager at Driveway Vehicle Solutions, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Scutum Fire & Security to Driveway Vehicle Solutions and to see the first vehicles joining its fleet.
“The initial order of 57 Nissan Primastar vans is a great start to the partnership and, with Scutum’s ambitious plans for the next 12 to 18 months, we’re looking forward to supporting the business as its fleet requirements continue to develop. From the outset, we’ve worked closely with the Scutum team to understand what they need from their fleet, both now and as the business grows. That’s helped us build a strong relationship and put the right solution in place rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
“Bringing fleet management and rental together gives their business the flexibility to respond quickly when vehicle needs change. For a business with engineers working across the country, keeping vehicles on the road and minimising downtime is hugely important, and that’s where we can add real value.”
Nick Allen, Asset Manager at Scutum Group, said: “As we expand, we need a fleet partner that can grow with us and understands how important it is to keep our teams mobile. We’ve built a strong relationship with Driveway Vehicle Solutions from the outset and have been impressed by their flexible and collaborative approach. We’re looking forward to taking delivery of our new fleet of Primastar vans and developing this partnership further.”
The partnership is the latest in a series of growth milestones for Driveway Vehicle Solutions in 2026. In April the business acquired Bromsgrove-based contract hire and leasing specialist Agility Fleet, which added more than 1,200 vehicles to its managed fleet and strengthened its operational capabilities, as it works towards its longer-term ambition of reaching 20,000 vehicles.
More recently, Driveway Vehicle Solutions supported international logistics specialist DragonSea with the addition of 37 Farizon SV electric vans to its UK fleet, as part of the company’s transition towards fleet electrification.
The latest customer wins form part of Driveway Vehicle Solutions’ wider growth strategy following its rebrand from Pendragon Vehicle Management earlier this year, backed by Lithia UK’s scale, purchasing power and nationwide automotive retail network.
